Dr. John Smoot, and Dr. Wendell M. Smoot III recently announced an unprecedented commitment to donate a percentage of each procedure they perform to non-profit initiatives. The dedicated team of surgeons and staff embrace the concept of giving back to the community and donate a percentage of their pre-profit surgical income to 501 (c) (3) organizations. In addition to granting charitable donations, the surgeons perform pro bono surgical cases on worthy recipients in San Diego and Mexico. With more than 65 years of combined experience, Drs. Smoot have offered facial, breast and body cosmetic and reconstructive procedures since 1979. Innovative Techniques

In addition to traditional cosmetic surgery procedures, our San Diego plastic surgeons have also mastered techniques that use modern technology to provide stunning results to their patients. For example, the doctors offer minimal incision breast lifts, dramatically diminishing the appearance of scars after surgery. Similarly, our practice has developed a less invasive facelift called the Freshlift, which requires much smaller incisions than a full facelift. An ideal candidate for this procedure would be someone in their forties or fifties who is not quite ready for a full face and neck lift, but is starting to notice some sagging in the jowl area. Along with the advantage of a shorter scar, this surgery usually has a shorter recovery period compared to a full face lift. People who find that weight loss, aging, and natural sun damage has caused the skin on their face and neck to sag may benefit from this procedure.
